Fakkels.com present at World Port Days in Rotterdam
During the World Port Days in Rotterdam, Fakkels.com was prominently present with a striking presence and handing out flyers. This annual celebration of Rotterdam’s maritime power offered the perfect stage to promote our products to a wide audience. Visitors could not only enjoy spectacular harbor shows, but also get to know our company, our staff and our products.
Fakkels.com has been known for years for its high-quality emergency signals (flares). Of course, these are only intended for emergency situations. Whether you are looking for the classic ship flares (still popularly called stadium flares), long-lasting smoke products, or our new very compact CO2 fire extinguishers, we have a wide range that meets all your needs. Visitors to the World Port Days were pleasantly surprised to discover the specialty that we have in-house. The realization that emergency signals improve daily safety is increasingly gaining ground in the Netherlands.
Meaningful conversations about stadium flares
During the World Port Days we not only handed out flyers, but also had many enthusiastic conversations with visitors who were looking for that extra touch for their events. “Emergency signal equipment may only be used for other purposes when permission has been obtained from the local authority.” This initial reaction from our side raised many eyebrows. The in-depth discussions in which the word stadium flares was frequently mentioned were both educational and entertaining for all parties. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of confusion among the public about what is and is not allowed. We have done our best to take on this government role. The result was of course that we had very nice conversations with visitors, and even with civil servants and other government personnel.
